    Respiratory syncycial virus (RSV) is an enveloped, negative-sense, single-stranded RNA virus that causes a flu-like respiratory illness that is particularly serious in infants and young children. The NS1 protein of RSV is a non-structural protein that, along with NS2, subverts the antiviral interferon respsonse of the host.
